WOMEN'S LACROSSE STAYS HOT WITH VICTORY OVER GRIFFINS

(4/2/22) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team won their seventh straight game tonight after defeating the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College, 18-1, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. Tonight the team also celebrated Senior Night.

Prior to the game, the team honored seniors: #6 Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) and #22 Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) in a pre-game ceremony on the field.
With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 8-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Freshman Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.Y.) netted a career high seven goals in the win.
Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) scored three goals and one assist, while Ellie Brouwer (West Long Branch, N.J.) tallied a career high five assists and two goals in the win. Smith finished with two goals.
Attacker Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) recorded four assists and one goal with Erica Ortiz (Slate Hill, N.Y.) added one goal and one assists. Lea Henke (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and Josie Lettieri (Deer Park, N.Y.) contributed one goal.
Starting keeper Nutting picked up the win, making two saves in the first quarter.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Nyack College.
