With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 12-3 (7-1 CACC).
Kristinamarie Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y.) recorded three saves and earned the win to improve to 11-3 on the season.
Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) scored a team-high six goals and recorded two assists. DeStasio also took a team-high 11 shots in the game.
Erica Ortiz (Slate Hill, N.Y.) finished with four goals and two assists. Sydney Strohmayer (Rocky Point, N.Y.) added three goals. Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.J.) and Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) each scored two goals. Costello recorded a team-leading four assists.
Anna Kaminskey (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) and Josie Lettieri (Deer Park, N.Y.) each finished with one goal.
For the Cougars, Kelsey Maxwell scored two goals and recorded one assist. Hannah Glaser and Madison Ellis each added one goal. Emily Lasko added three assists.
DC got off to a fast start in the first quarter by outscoring the Cougars 9-2. The Lady Chargers added five goals in the second quarter and extended to a 14-3 lead by halftime. Five more goals in the second half helped complete the conference victory for DC.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, April 23rd when they host Jefferson University in the regular season finale. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Torne Valley Sports Complex.
