#3 DOMINICAN TAKES DOWN #6 POST UNIVERSITY AND EARNS A TRIP TO CACC SEMIFINALS
Hillburn, N.Y. (4/26/22) The #3 seed Dominican College women’s lacrosse team hosted the #6 seed Post University Eagles in the 2022 CACC Quarterfinals.

The Lady Chargers defeated the Eagles by a score of 26-12 and move on to play the Rams of Jefferson University in the CACC semifinals.
Erica Ortiz (Slate Hill, N.Y.) and Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.Y.) combined for 12 goals by scoring six goals each. Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Sydney Strohmayer (Rocky Point, N.Y.) combined for 10 total goals by scoring five each.
Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) added two goals and recorded a team-high four assists. Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) and Ellie Brouwer (West Long Branch, N.J.) each scored one goal.
Kristinamarie Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y.) recorded eight saves in the win. Kathryn Ehrlinger (Levittown, N.Y.) entered the game and recorded three saves.
The Lady Chargers got off to a fast start with eight goals in the opening quarter. DC followed up their strong first quarter with a 10 goal effort in the second quarter. Tomasetti scored four consecutive goals in the quarter and capped it off with her fifth goal late in the quarter.
DC added eight second half goals on their way to the 26-12 victory.
The Eagles were led by Morgan Cassiliano who scored a team-high seven goals on 10 shots. Molly Dobratz and Lexi Levy each scored two goals while Lotanna Nwabudu scored one goal.
DC will be back in action on Friday, April 29th when they meet the Rams of Jefferson University in the 2022 CACC semifinals played at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM.
