WYSOCKI NETS GAME WINNER AS LADY CHARGERS DEFEAT QUEENS COLLEGE
Flushing, N.Y. (8/28/22) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team rallied with two goals in the second half to defeat non-conference foe, Queens College, 2-1, this evening in a game played on Knights Field.

Flushing, N.Y. (8/28/22) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team rallied with two goals in the second half to defeat non-conference foe, Queens College, 2-1, this evening in a game played on Knights Field.
With the win Dominican improves to 1-1 overall, while Queens fall to 0-1.
Sophomore midfielder Isabella Wysocki (Rahway, N.J.) led the team with the game-winning goal (five shots, three shots on goal) and one assist.
The Knights took the 1-0 lead in the 26th minute on a shot to the left bottom corner of the Dominican net.
Queens would maintain the lead until the 61:53 mark when forward Danai Chimedza (Atlanta, Ga.) netted her first goal of the season on a shot to the top left corner of the net, following the cross from Wysocki.
Wysocki scored the game-winner in the 66th minute, blasting a shot from 20 yards out into the top left corner off the pass from Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.) for the 2-1 lead and win.
Lauren Drummond (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) played the first half in goal, while freshman Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland) picked up her first collegiate win after spending the final 45 minutes in the Lady Charger net.
Dominican NY will host Lincoln University this coming Tuesday at 2pm in non-conference action.
