The Lady Chargers improve to 3-2-1 (1-1 CACC) and the Bears fall to 1-3-1 (0-2 CACC).
Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland), Lauren Drummond (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada), and Allison Spong (Garnerville, N.Y.) split time in net for Dominican. Paton and Drummond each recorded one save and Paton earned the victory.
Mia Phillip started in goal for the Bears and recorded six saves but suffered the loss.
Dominican fired 20 total shots in the game and 10 shots in each half. The Lady Chargers held the Bears to five total shots.
The Lady Chargers took a 1-0 lead after a goal scored by Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.) put Dominican on the board at the 23:11 mark.
Two second half goals extended the lead for the Lady Chargers and helped secure the victory. The second goal was scored by Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) at 58:48 and the third goal followed just under three minutes later when Sabine Sorensen (Ballerup, Denmark) scored at 61:20.
Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) contributed two assists in the win while Isabella Wysocki (Rahway, N.J.) added one assist and took a team-high five shots. Zeeb finished off a three point night with an assist on the second Dominican goal.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on Saturday, September 17th when they travel to conference opponent Wilmington University at 12:00 PM.
