The Lady Chargers fall to 6-6-2 overall and 4-5-1 in the conference. With the win, GBC improves to 7-6 overall and 5-3 in conference play.
Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland) started in goal for Dominican and made four saves but suffered the loss. Nikki Cashen recorded the win in net for the Lightning and made three saves.
Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.) led Dominican in shots with five shots and scored one goal. Olivia Ferris (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored the first Dominican goal. Isabella Wysocki (Rahway, N.J.) assisted the first Dominican goal and Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) assisted the second goal.
Angela Lee got the scoring started for GBC at 11:48 for the 1-0 lead. Alyssa Ruggeri recorded her first of two assists on the day.
Dominican answered after Ferris scored to tie the game late in the first half and both teams entered halftime tied 1-1.
Just over ten minutes into the second half, GBC regained the lead after Bella Davidoski scored and Paulimar Coll earned an assist on the goal.
Just over a minute later, Dominican answered again when Zeeb tied the game at 2-2 after taking a cross pass from Madura who recorded an assist.
Angela Lee gave GBC the lead again after scoring her second goal of the game and Alyssa Ruggeri added her second assist. The Lightning would keep the 3-2 lead and close out the victory.
The Lady Chargers return to action at home against Georgian Court University next Friday, October 21st at 11:30 AM.
