LIONS UPEND WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/3/22) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell 3-1 (15-25, 25-23, 12-25, 19-25) to the Lions of Molloy University this afternoon in non-conference action played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

Following the loss, Dominican now stands at 1-4 overall while the Lions improve to 4-3 on the year.
After dropping the first set, the Chargers opened the second frame on a 6-2 run and later capitalized on back-to-back Molloy attack errors to make the score 21-19. Andreya Davis (Peekskill, N.Y.) recorded a kill to put the team at set point and Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) sealed the set with a service ace for the 25-23 set win and tie the match at 1-1.
Davis led Dominican with a career high 12 kills and a .407 attack percentage.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Carr (Rogers, Ark.) added nine kills and 10 defensive digs, while setter Pantoja picked up a match high 28 assists in the loss.
Dominican will travel to non-conference foe, Southern Connecticut State University, this coming Tuesday night.
