VOLLEYBALL RALLIES TO DEFEAT RAVENS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/10/22) The Dominican University New York women’s volleyball team defeated the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University by a score of 3-1.

The Chargers fell in the opening set 25-12, but rallied to win three straight sets to solidify the victory.
After the win, the Chargers improved to 3-5 overall.
Kaitlyn Carr (Rogers, Ark.) finished the match with a team-high in points with 19.5 and kills with 17. Carr also added 16 digs and ended the match with a kill percentage of .245%.
Elizabeth Perez (Miami, Fla.) added 11 kills, 11 digs, and 12.5 points. Savannah Tody (Minneapolis, Minn.) contributed 12 points and 10 kills. Tody finished with a .269 kill percentage.
Abigail Thompson (Aledo, Texas) added a team-high 19 digs. Aaliyah Ellis (League City, Texas) finished with 8.5 points and eight kills including a .353 kill percentage. Setter Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) recorded a team-high 36 assists and added eight digs.
For the Ravens, Tessa Brandt finished the match with 20 kills, 20 digs, and 22.5 points. Morgan Scmutzler finished with a team-leading 32 digs. Annaka Lindstrom led the team in assists with 43 while Mariah Robles added 10 kills, 10.5 points, and seven digs.
The Ravens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the match after they took the first set by a score of 25-12.
The Chargers answered back by winning back to back competitive sets by a score of 27-25 each. The Chargers finished off the win after taking the fourth set 25-23.
The Chargers will return to action on Tuesday, September 13th when they host conference foe Post University at 7:00 PM.
