The Chargers opened the match with a 25-20 win and the Cougars answered back as they outlasted the Chargers in the second set 34-32 to tie the match 1-1.
The Chargers secured the victory with back to back wins in the third set 25-18 and the fourth set 25-23.
Elizabeth Perez (Miami, Fla.) led the way in kills with 13 and points with 18. Perez also added eight digs and five service aces. Kaitlyn Carr (Rogers, Ark.) finished with 11 kills, 12 points, and eight digs.
Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) recorded a team-high 46 assists and added 14 digs. Linda Armao Peng (Houston, Texas) added 16 digs.
Aaliyah Ellis (League City, Texas) finished with 10.5 points, nine kills, and added one solo block. Andreya Davis (Peekskill, N.Y.) contributed eight kills and scored nine points. Davis also added one solo block.
Savannah Tody (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished with eight points and six kills while Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) contributed four kills and five points.
Dominican will return to action on Saturday, September 24th when they travel to Wilmington University for a conference match with the Wildcats at 11:00 AM.
