Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/5/22) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team defeated Alliance University, 3-1 (25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 25-10), this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division action played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

With the win Dominican improves to 8-8 overall and 6-3 in CACC play.
The fourth set saw the Chargers post a .452 attack percentage (16 kills, 2 errors, 31 attack attempts).
Sophomore Andreya Davis (Peekskill, N.Y.) recorded a career high 12 kills, a .333 attack percentage and seven digs in the victory. Elizabeth Perez (Miami, Fla.) also tallied 12 kills, while adding 10 digs.
Aaliyah Ellis (League City, Texas) had 11 kills and a team high .400 attack percentage.
Setter Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) dished out 45 assists, while libero Linda Armao Peng (Houston, Texas) had a match leading 10 digs.
Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) had eight kills and 10 digs.
Alliance was led by Rayah Burge with 10 kills. Jamie Willex tallied 18 digs, while Jordan Mack recorded a team best 27 assists.
Dominican returns to action tomorrow evening when they host Adelphi University in non-conference action.
