VOLLEYBALL EARNS SEASON SWEEP OVER GOLDEN FALCONS

The Chargers improve to 11-13 overall and 9-6 in the conference. Felician falls to 2-23 overall and 2-13 in conference play.
Dominican got off to a fast start with a 25-15 win in the opening set. The Chargers outscored the Golden Falcons 15-8 to secure the 1-0 match lead.
The Chargers took a 2-0 lead after winning the second set 25-20. Dominican led 19-14 and Felician answered by cutting the deficit to two points but the Chargers completed the 25-20 victory.
Dominican secured the 3-0 sweep with a 25-23 victory in the third set. Felician got off to a strong start and held a 9-4 lead to start the set. Dominican scored four unanswered to cut the lead to 9-8.
Felician extended to a 17-13 lead but the Chargers went on a 6-0 run to take their first lead of the third set. Dominican never lost the lead and secured the 25-23 victory to complete the sweep.
Elizabeth Perez (Miami, Fla.) finished with a team-high 13 kills and added 14 points and five digs. Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) added a team-high 16.5 points and also finished with 12 kills, six digs, and three service aces.
Aaliyah Ellis (League City, Texas) added 10 points and nine kills. Linda Armao Peng (Houston, Texas) led the team in digs with 18 while Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) added a team-high 33 assists.
The Golden Falcons were led by Hannah Chiswick who added 12 kills, 12 points, and seven digs. Miquela Martinez added a team-high 22 assists. Martinez and Natalie Kashian each added a team-high nine digs.
The Chargers return to action on Saturday, October 29th when they travel to Georgian Court University for a conference match up with the Lions at 5:00 PM.
