Lakewood, N.J. (10/29/22) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell short in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening to host, Georgian Court University, 3-1, in a match played in the GCU Wellness Center.
Lakewood, N.J. (10/29/22) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell short in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening to host, Georgian Court University, 3-1, in a match played in the GCU Wellness Center.
The Lions improve to 10-17 overall and 6-9 in the CACC, while Dominican drops to 11-14 overall and 9-7 in conference play.
GCU won the match in four sets by the scores of 25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21 for the 3-1 win.
In the 25-22 set three win for the Chargers, the team posted their match high .273 attack percentage and recorded 18 kills to the Lions 12.
Sophomore Aaliyah Ellis (League City, Texas) posted a team and career high 13 kills, a team best .345 attack percentage and added two block assists.
Andreya Davis (Peekskill, N.Y.) added 12 kills and a .219 attack percentage, while senior Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) posted 10 kills and three digs.
Setter Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) had a match high 43 assists, two sevice aces and eight digs, with libero Linda Armao Peng (Houston, Texas) recording a night best 24 defensive digs.
Up next for the Lady Chargers will be a CACC North Division clash with Bloomfield College on November 2nd. Match time is slated for 7pm in Bloomfield, N.J.
