FOUR PLAYERS NAMED TO 2022 CACC WVB ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/8/22) Dominican University New York had four players named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Team as was announced today by Commissioner Dan Mara. All 13 schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

Senior Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) makes her fourth appearance on the All-Academic Team, while Linda Amaro Peng (Houston, Texas), Alexis Boettcher (Paramus, N.J.) and Lindley McCutcheon (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) were all named to the team for the first time.
Caldwell University led the way with eight honorees on the team, while Georgian Court University was next with seven student-athletes making the squad. CACC Champion Thomas Jefferson University placed six athletes on the academic team.
NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Three student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages (Caldwell's Samantha Ashton & Shayna Saltzman and Thomas Jefferson University's Mary Lauersen).
♦ Eleven (11) student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Five student-athletes were placed on the academic team for the fourth time in their respective careers (Caldwell's Humiko Stormer & Ashton, Dominican University's Emmalyn LaPier, Georgian Court University's Trilby Kite and Goldey-Beacom College's Autumn Spendlove).
♦ Five were named to the CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers.
♦ Twelve (12) were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.
♦ The eight teams to qualify for the CACC post-season tournament combined to have 26 honorees make the all-academic team.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
