The Lady Chargers now stand at 11-7 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
A four-point swing late in the first quarter gave Dominican a 13-9 lead as Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) and CACC Player of the Week, Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.), recorded back-to-back layups.
Mills extended the lead to 16-12 in the second frame as she connected on a three-point attempt, but the Griffins closed out the quarter on a 19-7 run to flip the lead and give CHC the 31-23 advantage.
The Griffins would lead by as many as 23 points with 5:11 remaining in the final quarter, but Dominican would put together and 11-2 run late in the quarter to cut the lead to 63-49 with a little over two minutes remaining. A three-point bucket with 27 seconds to go gave CHC the 68-51 win.
Mills led all scorers with 19 points, while adding three rebounds and two steals.
Guard Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) recorded eight points, a team best seven rebounds and three assists, while Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) came off the bench to score seven points and five caroms. Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) pulled down four boards in the loss.
Dominican returns to action Tuesday evening as they host Alliance University in the Hennessy Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
