Orangeburg, NY (7/8/10) Dominican College incoming men's lacrosse player, Collin Madsen, has been selected to compete in the 2010 Champion High School Showcase as was announced recently on Laxpower.com.

New Haven, CT (6/3/10) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) is pleased to announce its All-Academic team for the 2010 spring athletic season. A total of 93 student-athletes were named among the 14 conference schools. Included are 27 repeat selections, while 14 student-athletes were named for the third time in their careers. The CACC bestowed All-Academic status to a record 276 student-athletes from 13 sports in the 2009-10 academic year. This year’s total is 57 more than last year.

New Haven, CT (6/2/10) Sheila Wooten, Director of Athletics at Bloomfield College, has been tabbed the President of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), according to voting conducted at a recent Directors Council Meeting. Ben DiNallo of Felician College was named Vice President, while Nyack College Director of Athletics Keith Davie was selected as Second Vice President. Dominican College’s Joe Clinton will serve as the conference’s treasurer.

New Haven, CT (6/1/10) The Wilmington University men and Philadelphia University women have won the 2009-10 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Alfred R. Restaino, Sr., Cups in an announcement made by Commissioner Dan Mara. The cups are given annually to the institutions that perform the best across the board in CACC-sponsored sports. The Chargers and Lady Chargers finished second and third, respectively.

Orangeburg, NY (5/20/10) Dominican College softball player, Julie Plante, has been named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Region Second Team in the East Region as was announced today by the National Fastpitch Coach's Association of America.

Orangeburg, NY (5/18/10) The Dominican College Athletic Department recently honored the 2009-2010 student-athletes at the annual Awards Night held on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

Brookhaven, NY (5/15/10) The Dominican College softball team, ranked seventh in the 2010 NCAA East Regional Tournament, lost to the third seeded Pioneers of C. W. Post University, 2-1, this afternoon in a game played at Golden Lions Field. The loss eliminates the Lady Chargers from the double elimination tournament.

Brookhaven, NY (5/14/10) The seventh-seeded Lady Chargers softball team fell to the second-seeded Lions of Dowling College, 6-2 this afternoon in NCAA Division II East Regional action at Golden Lions Field.
