BASEBALL GETS REVENGE AGAINST FELICIAN COLLEGE
Lyndhurst, NJ (4/14/11) The Dominican College baseball team revenged a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss yesterday to host Felician College, by defeating them tonight, 5-4 in a conference game played at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex. With the win Dominican improves to 17-10 overall and 10-1 in the CACC.

With the win Dominican improves to 17-10 overall and 10-1 in the CACC.
Dominican broke a 0-0 tie with a three run top half of the third inning as senior right-fielder Dan Robinson (Massapequa, NY) belted a two out two-run homer down the right field line. Freshman Dru Kayfus (Boynton Beach, FL) delivered an RBI single to right field for the 3-0 lead.
The Golden Falcons put two runs on the board in the fifth to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Chargers added runs in the seventh and eighth innings to regain a 5-2 lead. In the seventh, Marco Moreno (Miami, FL) singled through the left side, advanced to second on a passed ball, moved to third on a sac bunt and later scored on a passed ball. In the eighth, Andrew Camardella (Pelham, NY) tripled to right center and scored on a FC throwing error.
Felician tallied runs in the bottom of the eighth and ninth for the final 5-4 Charger victory.
Senior Dave Bartuska (Duryea, PA) picked up the win to improve to 5-2 on the season, allowing two runs on five hits and collecting seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, NY) pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one run on two hits, while junior Justin Moore (Wantagh, NY) got his first save of the season in 1 1/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit.
Robinson and Camardella each had two hits on the night.
