WARRIORS TO CHARGERS BASEBALL
Nyack, NY (4/18/11) The Nyack College Warriors baseball team topped the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 3-2, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played at Nyack High School. With the loss Dominican falls to 20-11 overall and 11-2 in conference play.

Nyack, NY (4/18/11) The Nyack College Warriors baseball team topped the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 3-2, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played at Nyack High School. With the loss Dominican falls to 20-11 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
The Chargers struck for a run in the top of the second inning as desginated hitter Dru Kayfus (Boynton Beach, FL) led off the inning with a single and Tony Blake (Windsor, CT) followed with a walk. A strikeout and a fielder's choice left two runners on with two outs and Christopher Brown (Tenafly, NJ) hit an RBI single to put Dominican ahead 1-0.
Dominican added a run in the seventh inning as Brown led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on the ground out by Michael Levy, Jr (Salisbury Mill, NY). Mario Lopez (Anthony, NM) reached on an infield error which allowed Brown to score and give DC a 2-0 lead.
Nyack answered back with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for the eventual 3-2 victory.
Right-handed pitcher Dustin Javins (Fort Lauderdale, FL) suffered the loss (3-3), allowing three runs on eight hits and eight strikeouts.
