Center Nick Smith* (Middletown, N.Y.) led the team with 16 points and six rebounds.
Senior Robert Hueston* (Middletown, N.Y.) added 12 points and six caroms, while Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.) came off the bench to score eight points.
Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had seven points.
The first 13:32 of the contest saw a tight battle between the Rams and Chargers which featured six tied scores and five lead changes. DC broke an 8-8 tie with four straight for the 12-8 advantage with 13:26 to go, but with the game later re-tied at 22-all, a 13-7 first half closing run by the Rams gave them the 35-29 lead at the break.
A Hueston jumper and a dunk from Smith started the scoring in the second half and brought Dominican within two points (35-33), but the Rams offense awoke with a 23-4 run to secure the 80-62 win.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 5-11 overall and 5-4 in CACC play.
