Freshman guard Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) led two Chargers in double figures with a career high 22 points, shooting 7-10 from the three-point arc.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week, Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) netted 19 points, grabbed a team high nine rebounds and added two blocks and two steals.
Guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) posted a team high three steals, four assists and nine points. E.J. Smith (Nyack, N.Y.) had a team best five assists off the bench.
The Chargers finished the contest shooting both 50% from the floor (23-46) and from the three-point line (8-16). The team posted a 69.2% (18-26) mark from the charity stripe.
DC out rebounded the Spartans by a margin of 31-26 in the game
Dominican (4-2) will host non-conference opponent, Bentley University, this coming Sunday afternoon at the Hennessy Center. Game time is set for 1pm on Coach Baxter Court.
