MEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO #7 NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Orangeburg, NY (4/26/12) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell to New York Institute of Tehcnology, currently ranked seventh in the USILA rankings, 15-3 this afternoon at the DC Lacrosse Field. With the loss, Dominican falls to 1-10 overall and 0-7 in East Coast Conference play, while the Bears improve to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in the ECC.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 1-10 overall and 0-7 in East Coast Conference play, while the Bears improve to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in the ECC.
The Bears scored the first 11 goals of the game that spanned the first and most of the second quarters. Dominican got on the board with just under five minutes remaining as sophomore Sean McGregor (Bloomingburg, NY) scored his fourth goal of the season to make the score 11-1 and NYIT scored the last goal of the quarter for a 12-1 halftime score.
The Chargers opened third quarter scoring with two unanswered goals as senior Matthew Brown (Sparkill, NY) netted his second goal of the year off the assist from Conlan Pierce* (MIddleburg, VA). Attacker Chris Delaney (Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada) tallied his fourth goal of the year off the first collegiate assist from Maxwell Odynski (Northport, NY) to make the score 12-3. The Bears scored the final three goals of the game for the final 15-3 score.
Junior goalie Andrew Slater (Brookfield, CT) made 17 saves in the game.
Dominican is back in action on Saturday as they host #1 Mercyhurst College.
