MEN'S LACROSSE LOSE TO ROBERTS WESLEYAN COLLEGE
Rochester, N.Y. (3/14/15) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team lost an East Coast Conference (ECC) game to host, Roberts Wesleyan College, 16-7, in a game played this afternoon at RWC. With the loss, DC falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while RWC improves to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in the ECC.

With the loss, DC falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while RWC improves to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in the ECC.
The Redhawks opened the game with the first three goals before Hunter Curran (Virginia Beach, Va.) go the Chargers on the board off the assist from Ryan Wiberly (Setaukat, N.Y.) to make the score 3-1. An RWC goal made the score 4-1 after one quarter of play.
Roberts Wesleyan continued on their run with the first three goals of the second quarter, but freshman Christopher Augustin (Bellport, N.Y.) broke the run with his first goal of the game to make the score 7-2 after two quarters of play.
RWC started the third quarter like the first two with the first three goals before the Chargers converted on a man up opportunity as Sean Driscoll (Stony Point, N.Y.) scored goal off the second assist by Wiberly. Curran completed a 2-0 Charger run with his second game goal off the pass from Jimmy Anderson (Hewlett, N.Y.) to make the score 10-4 after three quarters of play.
In the fourth quarter, the Firebirds once again began the quarter with three straight goals while Dominican countered with two goals, one from Driscoll and the other from Anderson off Wiberly's third assist of the game on a man up opportunity to make the score 13-6 with under five minutes to play.
Two more RWC goals extended the lead to 15-6 and Curran completed the hat trick with his third game goal off the assist from Anderson with 44 ticks left. The Firebirds ended the game with a goal for the final 16-7 score.
Curran finished with three game goals, while Driscoll added two.
Wiberly had a team high three assists.
Carlos Villamain (Montgomery, N.Y.) made 10 saves in 30 minutes of action, while rookie Matthew Sandelier (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) had eight saves in the final 30 minutes.
