DELPEZO LEADS MEN'S SOCCER TO VICTORY

(10/18/14) Senior midfielder Luis DelPezo (Portchester, N.Y.) netted the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute of play to give the Dominican College men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on the DC Soccer Field.

(10/18/14) Senior midfielder Luis DelPezo (Portchester, N.Y.) netted the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute of play to give the Dominican College men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on the DC Soccer Field.
DelPezo beat the WU defense and put the ball past the diving keeper on a shot from five yards out at the 83:32 mark for his second goal of the year. Teammate Matheus Sousa (Cuiaba, Brazil) recorded an assist on the play.
Dominican outshot the Wildcats, 9-7, while both teams had five corner kicks.
Charger keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made four saves in the win.
Following the victory, Dominican improves to 8-3-1 overall and 6-2-1 in conference play.
DC will take on non-conference opponent, Molloy College on Wednesday at 3:30 pm at the DC Soccer Field.
