FRANCIS RECORDS HAT TRICK IN WIN OVER HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY
Philadelphia, Pa. (10/25/14) Junior Ghrelle Francis (La Brea, Trinidad and Tobago) recorded his first hat trick of the season in leading the Dominican College men's soccer team to a 3-0 shut out victory over host, Holy Family University, in a game played today at Tiger Field.

Philadelphia, Pa. (10/25/14) Junior Ghrelle Francis (La Brea, Trinidad and Tobago) recorded his first hat trick of the season in leading the Dominican College men's soccer team to a 3-0 shut out victory over host, Holy Family University, in a game played today at Tiger Field.
Francis's first goal came at the 24:16 mark on a shot from inside the box after the pass from senior Christopher Walsh (Baldwin, N.Y.).
The score would reamin 1-0 until the 51st minute of play when Francis struck again, this time off the assist from Matheus Sousa (Cuiaba, Brazil) to give the Chargers the 2-0 advantage.
Thirty second later (52:00) Francis completed the hat trick with an unassisted goal for what would be the final score of the contest and give DC the 3-0 victory.
Charger keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made one save in the win.
DC dominated the offensive end of the game, outshooting their opponents, 20-5. The Tigers held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
With the win, Dominican improves to 10-3-1 overall and 7-2-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
Dominican will host Nyack College on Tuesday at the DC Soccer Field.
