New Castle, DE (2/5/11) The Dominican College women's basketball team snapped a three game losing streak after defeating host Wilmington University, 67-55, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. With the win Dominican improves to 7-12 overall and 5-7 in conference play.

With the win Dominican improves to 7-12 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
DC trailed 17-14 with seven and a half minutes left in the first half when sophomore guard Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, NJ) started a 13-2 Lady Charger run with back-to-back three points baskets to take a 27-19 lead. Over the remaining four minutes of the half Dominican out scored Wilmington 9-4 to head into the break with a 36-23 advantage.
The Lady Chargers never relinquished a double-digit lead in the second half, as they started things off with a 5-2 run to go up 41-25 and led by as many as 18 points en route to the 67-55 victory.
Lopez led all scorers and two Lady Chargers in double figures with 21 points, going 5-7 from three point land and finished 8-11 overall. Freshman KC Jentzen (Pearl River, NY) came off the bench to net 13 points, shooting 5-7 from the floor and four rebounds, while senior Jasmine Schinella (Wappinger Falls, NY) grabbed a game leading and season high 12 rebounds in the victory.
Dominican returns to action on Monday night when they travel to CACC North Division foe, Felician College, in a 6pm contest.
