LADY CHARGERS RALLY FALLS SHORT TO POST UNIVERSITY
Waterbury, CT (2/17/11) Despite outscoring their opponents, 33-26 in the second half, the Dominican College women's basketball team fell to host, Post University, 63-58, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game held at the Drubner Center.

DC held a 13-6 lead with 13:42 left in the first half when a 16-2 Eagle run put them up 19-15 with just under nine minutes remaining in the stanza. A three point Post basket as time expired in the first half saw the Eagles hold a 37-25 lead.
The Eagles led by as many as 13 points in the second half and held a 47-35 lead when the Lady Chargers charged back with a 16-7 run with the final eight points coming from sophomore guard Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, NJ) to cut the deficit to 52-49 with 6:45 on the clock.
Later a three point basket from junior Marley Klunk (York, PA) with 1:19 once again brought the Lady Chargers within a basket (60-58), but Post closed out the game with three free throws for the 63-58 win.
Lopez led the Lady Chargers with 20 points, while junior Meghan Murphy (Carmel, NY) finished with 13 points.
With the loss Dominican falls to 8-15 overall and 6-10 in the CACC.
DC is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Georgian Court University in a CACC contest scheduled for 12pm.
