Nyack, NY (2/23/11) The Dominican College women's basketball team suffered a 51-45 loss to host, Nyack College, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division clash held at Bowman Gymnasium. With the loss Dominican falls to 10-15 overall and 7-11 in conference play.

Despite holding a 31-28 lead at the intermission, the Lady Chargers scored just 14 points in the second stanza as they shot 4-25 (16%) from the floor and were 0-7 from the three point arc.
The Warriors held a 24-19 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the first half when the Lady Chargers went on a 12-2 tear with junior Marley Klunk (York, PA) scoring six of those points and went into the break with a four points lead (31-28).
Nyack scored the first seven points of the second half to regain a 35-31 lead but an 11-3 run by Dominican over the next 5:43 put DC back ahead 42-38. Over the remaining 10:03 of regulation, Nyack outscored Dominican 13-3 to come away with the 51-45 victory.
Sophomore Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, NJ) led the Lady Chargers with 21 points and five steals. Klunk finished with seven points off the bench, while senior Jasmine Schinella (Wappinger Falls, NY) grabbed a team leading seven rebounds in the loss.
DC returns to action this Friday night when they host Goldey-Beacom College in the CACC regular season finale. Friday night will also be Senior Night and the Annual Pink Zone game. Tip-off is slated for 6pm.
