#2N WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ADVANCES TO CACC SEMI-FINALS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/2/13) The Dominican College women's basketball team advanced to the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Semi-Finals after defeating #3S University of the Sciences, 61-49, this afternoon in a quarter-final game played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

(3/2/13) The Dominican College women's basketball team advanced to the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Semi-Finals after defeating #3S University of the Sciences, 61-49, this afternoon in a quarter-final game played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
With the win Dominican improves to 18-9 overall on the season.
The Devils jumped out to a 12-5 lead early in the first half, but a 10 point Lady Charger run put them ahead 15-12 with 11:50 remaining in the half. Tied at 15-15, DC then went on a 9-2 run to build up a 24-17 lead and went into the break with a 31-25 advantage.
Dominican never trailed in the second stanza and two free throws from senior guard Lindsey Lopez* (Elmwood Park, N.J.) capped off the scoring and the 61-49 Lady Charger win.
Lopez led all scorers and three Lady Chargers in double figures with 21 points.
KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) had the game's only double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds and added three steals.
Freshman Deja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) game off the bench to score 11 points (5-6 from the floor) and added four rebounds.
DC advances to the CACC Semi-Finals which will take place on Friday, March 8th and hosted by the University of the Sciences.
