COUGARS TURN BACK WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Caldwell, N.J. (1/11/14) The Caldwell College women's basketball team scored 45 points in the second half to turn back the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 77-53, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the George R. Newman Center. With the loss Dominican falls to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play, while Caldwell improves to 9-6 overall and 7-1 in the CACC.

The Lady Chargers led 13-10 with 10:29 remaining in the first half when the Cougars rallied with an 18-2 run to take a 28-15 advantage. KC Jentzen* (Pearl River, N.Y.) and Aliyah Alston (Queens, N.Y.) netted back-to-back baskets at the end of the half to make the score 32-23.
Trailing by nine points (32-23) with 11 minutes left in the game, the Cougars put the game away with a 17-7 spree to pull ahead 62-43. CC led by as many as 26 points en route to the 77-53 win.
Jentzen paced Dominican with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Senior Nicole Welton* (Southbury, Conn.) added 10 points, while Alston came off the bench to net seven points. Point guard Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had a team leading four assists.
Dominican is set to be in action on January 14th when they travel to Bloomfield College.
