WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS REVENGE OVER FELICIAN COLLEGE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/18/14) The Dominican College women's basketball team avenged a loss one month ago to Felician College by defeating them 85-70 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game held at the Hennessy Center.

With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 10-13 overall and 8-8 in conference play, thus elevating them to fourth place in the CACC North Division and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Junior guard Lashonda Hathorne (Queens, N.Y.) led four players in double figures with 18 points.
Rookie Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) came off the bench to net 15 points, going 5-9 from the three point arc.
Senior KC Jentzen* (Pearl River, N.Y.) recorded the team's only double-double with 13 points and a night high 13 rebounds.
Dominican never trailed in the contest as they quickly jumped out to a 16-4 advantage with 12:22 remaining in the first stanza. The Golden Falcons battled back to cut the lead to three points with 6:23 to go, but a 17-5 run to end the half gave DC a 41-26 lead.
The Lady Chargers used a three-point bucket from senior Nicole Welton* (Southbury, Conn.), who finished with 10 points, to give them their biggest lead of the game (56-32) with just over 16 minutes left in the second half and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way in the 85-70 victory.
DC will face Post University in a crucial CACC North Division contest on Thursday evening at the Hennessy Center.
