WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TOPS FELICIAN COLLEGE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/16/14) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play this evening after defeating the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College, 67-50, in a game played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Sophomore guard Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) paced the Lady Chargers with 12 points, all coming from the three-point arc where she accounted for four of the Lady Chargers 10 buckets.
Forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) netted 10 points, three blocks and three assists, while Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) grabbed a night best 12 rebounds and seven points. Senior Lashonda Hathorne (Queens, N.Y.) tallied eight points, eight caroms and a game leading four assists.
Felician was led by freshman Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) who recorded a season high 24 points, six rebounds, seven steals and three assists. Senior forward Ashley Morris (West Orange, N.J.) netted 11 points and added eight rebounds.
The game was tied with just under 11 minutes remaining in the first half when DC went on a 13-3 run to gain a 23-15 lead. The team would take a 14 point advantage (32-18) on a trey from Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) with 2:08 left in the half and went into the break with a 36-25 lead.
The Lady Chargers shot 50.0% (14-28) from the floor in the first half.
Felician cut the deficit to 12 with 14:45 left in the contest, but the Lady Chargers scored the next 16 out of 21 points to increase their lead to 62-39 with 7:13 to go as they went on to the 67-50 win.
Dominican will travel to non-conference opponent, University of New Haven, this coming Saturday.
