With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 6-5 overall.
Dominican took control of the contest early as they scored 14 unanswered points to close out the first quarter with a 17-2 advantage. They continued on the offensive with 18 second quarter points to increase their lead to 35-16 at the half.
The Gallitos had the edge in the third quarter with 16 points to Dominican's 15 and DC had the 8-6 advantage in the fourth for the 58-38 victory.
Senior Déja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) recorded the game's only double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Shooter Shannon McGill* (Staten Island, N.Y.) netted nine points, while Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley) and Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) each contributed 8 points in the victory.
Freshman Alpreshia Parker (Pocono Summit, Pa.) came off the bench to score seven points and grab three rebounds.
DC will take on the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon tomorrow evening at 5pm AST and 4pm EST.
