WOMEN'S LACROSSE CHARGE PAST WARRIORS
Hillburn, N.Y. (4/3/13) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team charged past the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 20-2, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. With the win, Dominican improves to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

With the win, Dominican improves to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers took control of the contest early as they recorded the first 11 goals of the game and held an 18-2 lead at the break.
Dominican also accounted for all of the scoring in the second half with two goals for the 20-2 victory.
DC outshot NC, 31-9 and were a perfect 12-12 in clears.
Attacker Kelly Barbarite (Smithtown, N.Y.) and midfielder Christina Brennan (Washington Township, N.J.) led the Lady Charger offense with career highs of five goals a-piece. Barbarite added an assist for a team leading six points.
Freshman Amanda Shelton (Holtsville, N.Y.) finished with four goals, while Allison Smithwick (Commack, N.Y.) and KC Jenzten (Pearl River, N.Y.) each scored two goals. Smithwick also tallied two assists for a total of four game points.
Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, N.J.) and Gina Sparaco (Freeport, N.Y.) scored a goal in the win.
Goalie Brittany Kiernan (Clarkstown, N.Y.) had five saves.
The Lady Chargers are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Chestnut Hill College.
