WOMEN'S LACROSSE TOPS POST UNIVERSITY
Waterbury, Conn. (4/1714) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team completed the division sweep of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Post University, today as they defeated the Eagles, 17-8 in a game played at LaMoy Field.

With the win, Dominican improves to 8-6 overall and 7-4 in CACC play.
Christina Brennan (Washington Township, N.J.) and Allison Smithwick (Commack, N.Y.) each led the Lady Chargers with four goals a-piece, with Smithwick adding an assist in the win.
Emily Murray (Oakdale, N.Y.) and CACC Co-Rookie of the Week, Haliann Fitzgerald (Walden, N.Y.) had three goals each and Fitzgerald also tallying an assist.
Traci-Joan Muniz* (Middlesex, N.J.) netted two goals and one assist, while Kelly Barbarite (Smithtown, N.Y.) had one goal and a team leading two assists.
Goalie Brittany Kiernan (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made seven saves.
Dominican began the game on a 6-0 run, but the Eagles ended the half on a 4-1 run to cut the deficit to 7-4 at the break.
Post began the second half on a 3-1 run to make the score 8-7, but DC pulled away with the next eight goals to regain a 16-7 lead. Brennan recorded the final goal with 24 ticks on the clock for the final 17-8 score.
The Lady Chargers will return home on April 22nd as they take on Caldwell College at The Torne Valley Sports Complex.
