Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (3/9/16) The Mercy College women's lacrosse team remained undefeated in 2016 after defeating the Dominican College Lady Chargers 13-1 today in a game played at Mercy Field.
The only goal for the Lady Chargers came with 3:36 remaining in the game as junior Amber June (Stony Point, N.Y.) found the back of the net following a pass from Haliann Fitzgerald (Walden, N.Y.).
Senior Brittany Kiernan* (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made eight saves in the loss.
Shayne Gallagher (Blauvelt, N.Y.) had a game best four draw controls, while Tara Maltbie (Garnerville, N.Y.) and Katie Dascher (Valley Stream, N.Y.) had two ground balls each.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-4 on the season.
DC will travel to Assumption College this coming Saturday in a non-conference game.
