Bridgeport, Conn. (3/31/16)  The University of Bridgeport Purple Knights defeated the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 19-2, this evening in a non-conference game played at Knights Field.

Dominican got on the board with 14:21 remaining in the first half as junior attacker Amber June (Stony Point, N.Y.) netted an unassisted goal.

The other Lady Charger goal was netted by sophomore Joanna Napolitano (Oakdale, N.Y.) on a free-position shot with 7:41 left in the game.

DC won nine draws in the game and tallied 10 ground balls.

They went 1-3 on free-position attempts and were 4-10 on clears.

Lady Charger goalie Brittany Kiernan* (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made seven saves.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-7 on the season.

The team is scheduled to travel to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Wilmington University on Saturday afternoon.
