VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CONCORDIA COLLEGE
Bronxville, N.Y. (9/11/14) The Dominican College women's volleyball team swept a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match from host, Concordia College, 3-0, this evening in a match played at Meyer Athletic Center. With the win, Dominican improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

With the win, Dominican improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers won the match in three sets by scores of 25-21. 25-16 and 25-17.
Sophomore outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) led all attackers with 13 kills for a .320 attack percentage and added nine defensive digs.
Senior Kayla Dexter* (Selah, Wash.) had a team leading .462 attack percentage with seven kills, three service aces and two block solos.
Courtney Yeoman (Glendale, N.Y.) led the team with three block solos, while Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had 11 defensive digs.
Setters Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) had 17 and 10 assists, respectively.
The first set was tied at 20-all when DC scored three straight points to take a 23-20 advantage and went on to the 25-21 win.
A 10-3 run broke a 10-10 tie and gave the Lady Chargers a 20-13 lead in set two en route to the 25-16 victory and give them the 2-0 match lead.
DC never trailed in the final set and used a kill from Hallstein to secure the 25-17 win and 3-0 match victory.
Dominican will take on Felician College on September 16th on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. Game time is set for 7pm.
