Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/16/14) The Dominican College women's volleyball team improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating Felician College, 3-0, this evening in a match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Sophomore outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) led all attackers with 15 kills and added seven digs and two aces.
Teammate Cortney Yeoman (Glen Dale, Md.) recorded nine kills and had a .438 attack percentage.
DC held a 20-11 lead in the first set, but the Golden Falcons fought back to bring them within two points (22-20). A counter attack consisting of a Yeoman kill, a John service ace and a Felician error gave the Lady Chargers the 25-20 set one victory.
The Lady Chargers jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the second set and extended the lead to 22-9, before a Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) kill closed out a 25-13 win.
The third set saw the score tied at 12-all when Dominican went on a 11-1 tear to pull away, 23-13. Amanda Hallstein (Holtsville, N.Y.) ended the match with an ace for the 25-13 win and 3-0 match victory. As a team, the Lady Chargers sported a .385 attack percentage in the set.
Hallstein had a night best 17 assists, while Dexter finished with 16.
Libero Angela Kim (Marleton, N.J.) had a game leading 16 defensive digs.
