WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL EXTENDS WINNING STREAK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/20/14) The Dominican College women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to five matches after defeating the visiting Owls of Southern Connecticut State University, 3-0, this afternoon in a non-conference match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

With the win, Dominican improves to 5-0 on the season.
Sophomore outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) led all attackers with 20 kills (.311 attack percentage) and added 13 digs to complete the double-double.
Senior Kayla Dexter (Selah, Wash.) had eight kills, while libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had 11 digs.
Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) had a team leading 19 assists, while Amanda Hallstein (Holtsville, N.Y.) added 16 assists and 15 digs.
DC held a 20-16 lead in the first frame and used back-to-back SCSU errors for the 25-19 win.
In the second set, the score was 15-all when the Lady Chargers put together a 5-1 run with two kills from John to go up 20-16 and used 5-2 run to secure a 25-18 and take a 2-0 match lead.
Set three was tied at 18-18 when consecutive kills from Kayla Dexter and John capped off a 5-2 run and gave DC a 23-20 lead. John and Hallstein closed out the match with kills for the 25-20 set victory and 3-0 match win.
Dominican returns to action on Wednesday evening when they host Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division foe, Caldwell College.
