BEARS SNAP WINNING STREAK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/3/14) The visiting Bears of Bloomfield College snapped the Dominican College women's volleyball team's eight match winning streak with a 3-1 victory this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action from Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/3/14) The visiting Bears of Bloomfield College snapped the Dominican College women's volleyball team's eight match winning streak with a 3-1 victory this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action from Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
The Bears (7-7, 4-1 CACC) won the match by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-11.
Sophomore outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) led all attackers with 24 kills and had four service aces.
Kayla Dexter* (Selah, Wash.) added 10 kills in the loss.
Setters Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) each had 16 defensive digs and recorded 23 assists and 18 assists.
Libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had 10 defensive digs and three service aces, including the one that won the second set.
The Bears tallied 14 total blocks in the win and were led by Diannmarie Rivera with 13 kills and Jacquelyn Madlock with 29 assists.
Following the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 8-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
DC will take on Goldey-Beacom College tomorrow afternoon at 12pm at the Hennessy Center.
