Uniondale, N.Y. (3/19/23) The Dominican University New York baseball team fell to the Lions of Molloy University this afternoon to complete a three-game non-conference series.
After the loss, the Chargers fall to 1-16 overall on the season. The Lions complete the three-game series sweep after the 27-9 victory over Dominican and improve to 12-7.
David Knepper (Miami, Fla.) led the way for the Chargers by going 3-5 with two RBIs and scored three runs. Tyler Richman (Sunrise, Fla.) added a double and two RBIs while Christian Fils-Aime (North Babylon, N.Y.) recorded two doubles and two RBIs. Alexander Reyes (Bronx, N.Y.) added one hit and one RBI.
Molloy was led by Robby Keane added three hits and a team-high five RBIs. Garrett Scavelli finished with three doubles and four RBIs while Tom Lebrecht also recorded four RBIs and a triple.
Aiden Larkin and Gavin McAlonie each added three RBIs while Matt Yip also added three RBIs and added a homer.
The Chargers will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Pace University to complete the non-conference season series with the Setters at 3:00 PM.
