GOLDEN FALCONS SHUT OUT CHARGERS

Lyndhurst, N.J. (4/11/23) The Dominican University New York baseball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to host, Felician University, 5-0 this afternoon in a game played at Breslin Field.

Lyndhurst, N.J. (4/11/23) The Dominican University New York baseball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to host, Felician University, 5-0 this afternoon in a game played at Breslin Field.

Felician improves to 16-19 overall and 9-2 in conference play, while the Chargers falls to 4-25 overall and 1-8 in the CACC.

The Golden Falcons scored a run in the second and two in the third for the early 3-0 advantage.  They added a run in the sixth and eighth frames for the 5-0 victory.

Centerfielder Christian Fils-Aime (North Babylon, N.Y.) had the lone hit for the Chargers.

Starter Williams Tavarez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) went two innings in the loss, allowing three runs on two hits and two strikeouts.

Wilfrido Valenzuela picked up the complete game victory for Felician, scattering one hit and collecting eight strikeouts.

Dominican returns to action tomorrow when they host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC doubleheader.
