Cary, N.C. (3/2/24) The Dominican University New York baseball team opened up their trip to North Carolina with an 11-0 loss to Slippery Rock University in a game played today at Durham Athletic Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Centerfielder Davin Keddell-Tuckey (Troy, N.Y.) went 2-3 in the game, while David Knepper (Miami, Fla.), Joseph Torres (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) and Andrew Smith (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) had the other Charger hits.
Starter Anthony Leak (Pelham, N.Y.) suffered the loss in five innings of work, while collecting five strikeouts.
SRU led 2-0 through six innings of play, but scored three runs each in the seventh, eighth and nnth frames to bring home the 11-0 win.
Dominican returns to action tomorrow when they take on Pace University.
