
KEDDELL-TUCKEY, LEAK AND RICHMAN EARN ALL-CACC BASEBALL HONORS
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (5724) Goldey-Beacom College standout Braden Kolmansberger on Tuesday was named the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Player of the Year as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Kolmansberger, who was also named to the All-CACC First Team as a shortstop, was earned the honors via a vote conducted by the league's head coaches in the sport.
In addition to Kolmansberger, Felician University's Mike Caldon was named CACC Pitcher of the Year, Wilmington University's Brandon Grygo was tabbed CACC Rookie of the Year and Thomas Jefferson University's Pat Horvath was honored as CACC Coach of the Year. University of Bridgeport was named the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award winner.
Kolmansberger is batting .359 this season with 11 home runs and 55 runs batted in. He had 17 multi-hit games including a 5-for-6 effort with four runs scored in a win at Jefferson on March 22. He homered twice in the game for the Lightning.
Caldon is 5-3 with a save over 16 appearances and 12 starts. He has posted a 3.50 earned run average over 69.1 innings pitched. Caldon leads the CACC in starts (12), innings pitched, strikeouts (99), strikeouts per game (12.85).
Grygo batted .388 this season with three home runs, 24 RBI, 37 runs scored and 12 stolen bases. He ranks second in the conference in batting average while also ranking second in triples (4) and fifth in doubles (13).
Horvath led Jefferson to the CACC South Division Regular Season Championship and a spot in the latest NCAA Division II East Region rankings.
Dominican University New York had three players earn All-Conference honors as Davin Keddell-Tuckey (Troy, N.Y.), Anthony Leak (Pelham, N.Y.) and Tyler Richman (Sunrise, Fla.) were all named to the Second Team.
