New Haven, Conn. (1/28/25) Felician University and Thomas Jefferson University have been selected for first place in the North and South Division, respectively, in the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll. The voting was conducted by the conference's 13 head coaches and the results were announced today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.
Felician (29-23, 14-8 CACC in 2024) finished second in the CACC North Division a year ago and ended up in third place in the conference championship tournament. Jefferson (33-17, 18-6) captured the 2024 South Division regular-season title before reaching the CACC finals and earning an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Golden Falcons received 10 of 13 first-place votes and topped the North Division with 82 total points. Post University, the 2024 CACC champion, was given two first-place votes and 73 points, and Dominican University New York earned the other first-place vote and was selected for third place with 62 points. Most league teams will have opened their season by Feb. 23, with conference action slated to start on Saturday, March 15.
At season's end, the top four teams in each division will qualify for the CACC Championship tournament. The best-of-three opening round will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, at campus sites. Wilmington will host the four-team, double-elimination segment on May 8-10 at Wilson Field at Jim Sherman Sr. Stadium in New Castle, Del.
