PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DAVID KNEPPER, Dominican – Junior infielder went 8 for 13 with a double, including a pair of three-hit games, during a 1-2 week for the Chargers. Scored five runs and drove in five and got on base at a .643 clip.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
DANNY KERR, Jefferson – Junior right-hander worked six innings of the Rams' 11-1 victory over Clarion on Friday. Allowed an unearned run on two hits, struck out 10 batters and walked none.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
ERICK DIAZ, Dominican – Played in two games of the Chargers' 1-2 week. Went 5 for 9 plus a walk with four runs scored and four RBI. Was 3 for 5 with three RBI during Friday's 11-1 win over Wheeling.
HONOR ROLL
PHOENIX BOWMAN, Chestnut Hill – Was 4 for 8 with three runs and six RBI during a split with Staten Island. All six RBI, including a grand slam, came during Game 2 victory.
XAVIER CORTEZ, Wilmington – Started and pitched six scoreless innings of a 3-0 win over Point Park. Allowed six hits, struck out five and walked one.
JIMMY KURTZ, Caldwell – Went 3 for 6 plus two walks and a hit batsman during the Cougars' sweep of Staten Island. Scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
HAYDEN ROBERGE, Post – Was 5 for 7 with a double despite an 0-2 week for the Eagles.
JEREMY RODRIGUES, Bridgeport – Hit .308 and slugged .769 as UB took one of a four-game series with AIC. Had three doubles and a home run.
ZACH SMETHERS, Goldey-Beacom – Batted .462 with a home run and five RBI during a 1-3 week for the Lightning.
ALEX SPRINGER, Bridgeport – Settled for a no-decision after pitching five scoreless innings with four strikeouts during an eventual 4-3 win over AIC.
MAX WEBER, Felician – Earned a win against No. 22 Molloy, giving up three runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
