
SPARTANS SNAP CHARGERS WINNING STREAK
Pomona, N.Y. (4/11/25) The Dominican University New York baseball team saw their 14-game winning streak snapped today by the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College as they suffered a 7-2 loss this afternoon in non-conference action played at Clover Stadium.
Following the loss, the Chargers are now 26-12 on the season.
The Spartans scored three runs in the top of the second inning for an early advantage, but the Chargers got two runs back in the third as Erick Diaz drew a bases loaded walk to plate a run and Jean Nunez was hit by-a-pitch with the bases loaded for the second run.
A four-run top of the fourth solidified the 7-2 Spartan victory.
Second basemen Ryan Bongiorno went 2-4 in the game.
Isaiah Figueroa suffered his first loss of the season in three innings of work.
Dominican returns to action on Sunday as they will once again take on the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College.
