
CHARGERS TAKE THIRD AT CACC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Watertown, Conn. (10/3/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team took third place at the 2023 Central Altantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Championships held yesterday and today at the Watertown Golf Club and hosted by Post University.
Dominican finished with a three-round score of 881 (+29) to place third among the seven competing teams. The Chargers had their best score during round two play with a score of 289.
Senior Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) finished in fith place overall with scores of 72, 69 and 73 for a three-round total of 214 (+1). Cervantes tallied 13 birdies during the tournament. For his efforts, he was named to the CACC All-Tournament Team.

The final grouping that went off on Tuesday featured Koch, McGee and Dominican's Alejandro Gomez Cervantes, as the group combined to produce two player-of-the-year awards and numerous All-CACC honors. The star-studded lineup came through with spectacular play in the final round.
