New Haven, Conn. (8/30/24) The 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf season gets underway next Thursday as three schools will be in action at Thomas Jefferson University's season-opening fall tournament. Joining Jefferson at its home event includes Chestnut Hill College and Goldey-Beacom College. After that, the four remaining schools swing into action in the ensuing days in various tournaments throughout the East Region. The 2024 fall campaign figures to be a fascinating battle among the seven competing schools, as Goldey-Beacom returns this year as the two-time defending conference champion, while Post University returns after reaching the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament this past spring.
2024 CACC MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2024 CACC Men's Golf Championship will be held Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 7-8, at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, Del. It marks the first time the championship will be held at the course, which is one of the finest in the mid-Atlantic region. The winner of the tournament will earn the league's automatic bid to next spring's NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional Tournament.
WELL REPRESENTED AT NCAA REGIONAL
In all, five of the seven CACC schools represented the conference at the NCAA Regional this past spring, including three teams who competed in the tournament -- Goldey-Beacom, Post and Dominican University. Felician University's Pablo Hidalgo qualified as an individual for the second-consecutive year while WilmU's Tyler Cleaves and Pablo Quintero earned individual trips as well. Hidalgo and Quintero each return this season.
AWARD WINNERS RETURNING
The conference will be bolstered by the return of five all-conference performers from a season ago. The list of returning All-CACC includes:
Adrian Bonilla (Goldey-Beacom, All-CACC)
William Kelly (Goldey-Beacom, All-CACC)
Bruno Pardo (Dominican, CACC Rookie of the Year; All-CACC)
