CHARGERS SIT IN THIRD PLACE AFTER FIRST TWO ROUNDS OF CACC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wilmington, Del. (10/7/24) The Dominican University New York men's golf team is in third place following rounds one and two at the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Championships being held at White Clay Creek Country Club and hosted by Wilmington University.
Following two rounds of competition today, Dominican has a team score of 611 (305, 306) to be in third place among the seven teams.
Round One: Bruno Pardo and Alexander Lundvall finished the first round with a score of 74 to be two strokes above par and be tied for fith place overall. Pardo had two birdies in the round, while Lundvall recorded five birdies.
As a team, the Chargers compiled 12 birdies in the first round with two players recording birdies on holes two, eight and ten.
Round Two: Lundvall continued to golf well in the second round as he finished the back nine one shot under par and shot for par on the front nine to finish the round with a 71. He had five bridies in the round and one eagle on hole eight, to now sit in second overall.
Brikke Decoster shot a 76 in round two, compiling two birdies and eagle, while Nicolas Arrieta-Guerra had one eagle and one birdie and Pardo had one birdie.
The Chargers return to the links tomorrow morning in the final round of the 2024 CACC Golf Championships.
