SMITH NAMED CACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL – February 17, 2025

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ALIOU CISSE, Bridgeport – Junior swingman shot 59 percent from the floor and averaged 25.0 points and 5.5 rebounds as UB split with a pair of regionally-ranked opponents. Netted 27 points during a 95-72 home victory over Caldwell on Feb. 11. Followed with 23 points and seven rebounds during Sunday's 90-81 setback at Dominican.

Co-ROOKIES OF THE WEEK

JAYLIN HORSEY, Wilmington – Came off the bench to produce 18.0 points per game during a 1-1 week for the Wildcats. Went 8 for 17 from three-point range and 10 for 12 at the foul line for the week.

TRE POWELL, Goldey-Beacom – Averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 assists as the Lightning cliched a CACC playoff berth with a 1-1 week. Knocked down 17 points during a Feb. 11 home loss to Chestnut Hill.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

EMMANUEL SMITH, Dominican – Senior post player averaged 9.0 rebounds (6.5 defensive), 2.5 blocks and 3.0 steals as the Chargers wrapped up the North Division regular-season title with a 2-0 week. Had 10 total rebounds, three steals and four blocks during Sunday's win over Bridgeport.


HONOR ROLL

NOAH CHARLES, Chestnut Hill – Averaged 19.5 points on 54-percent shooting during a 1-1 week for the Griffins. Was 10 for 12 at the foul line.
IZAIAH CREDLE, Wilmington – Averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds during a 1-1 week for the Wildcats.
JONATHAN IZEMEF, Felician – Shot 54 percent and produced 16.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game as the Golden Falcons went 2-0.
OMARION JETT, Holy Family – Amassed 25 points, five rebounds and four assists during the Tigers' one-point loss to Wilmington.
ASHTON MILLER, Jefferson – Averaged 21.5 points and 3.5 assists during a 2-0 week for the Rams.
CHANCE MORRISH, Dominican – Shot 60 percent from the floor and averaged 16.5 points and 2.0 steals during the Chargers' 2-0 week.
